971 Wing is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA. 971 Wing regularly meets in the homes of Member Hosts.  971 Wing subscribes to the principals and tenets of the Air Force Association of Canada.

 971 Wing is primarily composed of retired members of the RCAF and CF living in Colorado or who have served there and returned to Canada.  971 Wing also brags a diversity including among its membership: former RAF, USAF, USA, USMC as well as Canadian, British and US Civilian members.
